Sounds slightly different on the link, i'm listening on the TV and there seems to be a lack of strings on the film, also for the end credits there is a really tremendous piano piece with some floaty vocals, it's the second song up, quite eerie.

No mixed up, during the dance routine it's Duran Duran. I got it mixed up as well.

Suprising i've just watched the part with the knife and there is actually no music at all, the cool music is playing at Jim Cunninghams show at the school when Donnie calls him "The __ antichrist", very atmospheric.

Yeah, that's the part. He's staring into the mirror with the evil eyes, sees Frank, keeps switching to those girls doing the dance on stage [i think], then he's got a knife, etcetc.
And then.. I'm going to bed. Nightnight :^)

yeah i have but i think it's the bit where he's got the knife and is trying to stab Frank, from memory it's like a distorted water sound, i'll know in a second because i'm looking for it.

I've seen that film about 6 times, i watched in on saturday morning and i can't remember anything about it.

Music which makes you feel evil/insane, hm? I thought heavy metal stuff would do the trick perfectly, but classical seems to suit better..

Manipulated Living - that crazy song in Donnie Darko which plays whenever he sees Frank - is one of those songs I find makes you feel a little rushed or whatever the word is.
