"That's funked up"
If you've seen it you'll know what I mean, but if you haven’t it involves a horse and a horse’s pride.
Disgusting.
Tom Green makes me laugh though
The part with the "backwards man" was hilarious.
It was better than the majority of "comedy" films by far.
It's jsut that people have no real taste, and laugh at what they think is supposed to be, rather than what is.
Like Monty Python - Life Of Brian is the only one I'd consider ever watching again, the other two were toss.
Well, apart from the Crimson bit at the beginning of The Meaning Of Life.
> It was genius
Erm
No. No, it really really wasn't.
It's a shame how people flail the term "genius" around so much now, particularly in cases where it's the last word that should be used.
It was genius, and not really very shocking.
Mind you, I saw it when I was about 12.

I don't think the two are synonyms here. I did find some of it shocking, but it just made me laugh - I think that was the whole intention. I don't believe he wanted to offend as many people as possible; what would be the point? He said himself, "We made the film so people would go watch it, not so you'd have to buy it in paper bags under the counter"

See, I don't mind him but that's probably cos I first saw him in that Road Trip film. And he was reasonably okay. Aside from that though...well, he's just a canuck Dick n Dom with a greater need for attention.
I know whatcha mean though; in my opinion, anything (ANYTHING) is forgivable if it's funny.
> Which in itself, isn't so bad; I'm thinking of South Park...
Aye, very true. I haven't seen the movie or the South Park episode you're talking about, I've just read a review of FGF on Jabootu a while back. My thoughts are that South Park probably did it and it was satirical and amusing. Green did it and it's tasteless and a cheap shot. Still, that's almost certainly my dislike of Green coming through. I just find him the equivalent of a thousand nails, all scraping down a blackboard simultaneously.
Here's the review. Probably funnier than the movie. http://www.jabootu.com/fgf.htm/
