24 is dire, whooo!

I probably won't watch it again if half my favourite characters aren't in it anymore.

That's quite a dumb thing to say when talking about 24.

The fact that anyone can die (aside from bauer) is one of the main draws of the show, otherwise it's just like Stargate/Buffy/etc where nobody on the main cast is likely to die: this removes a lot of potential tension and makes many an episode lukewarm.

But there's no characters that we've grown attached to. Any dying of main characters will be 3 times less effective than if it had all previous characters.

You'll get over it.

It was a shame the president had to go (no doubt he'll be back) but I'll get over it. It's the nature of the show. If it turns into the same old 'these 6 people are immune to everything' crap I'll stop watching.
