You may like to note the look of almost supernatural arrogance on my face in this role. Barely required any acting...
I have done the odd piece of acting. Did Bouncers just before Christmas, and doing an Alan Ackyborn thing at the end of March. Rehersals start tonight. Had my script for 3 weeks and haven't looked at it once. Whoops...
Mind you, speaking personally I enjoy the discipline of adhering to a rehearsal schedule, watching the play come together, and giving the final performance. But then, I'm weird.
So I gave up on that for a while. Took up writing for ages, but stopped recently to take a break from it. I think because my moods and states of mind change so much, it feels almost impossible for me to write a 'perfect' piece, without me going back in a different state and hating it later.
So just taking a break from pretty much anything creative at the moment. Playing guitar is about as much as I do, I don't pile on the pressure with that. Yet. :)
Maybe you could have a bash at directing? It's just as much fun, and without the worry of people watching you (though with the somewhat different fear caused by people watching what you're responsible for).
Haven't done much for years. The closest I've done is a little Blues Brothers skit we did for a Stars in their Eyes contest. I've got the video of that, should upload it.
But I'm really bad with stage fright. Really can't cope with being the centre of attention. Do you have problems with that, or just doesn't bother you at all?
Naturally, I was better...~cough~
And tuck in your tie.
D'you act? I have a dim and distant memory of your saying you do.
