No, OVW is rubbish. How else can you explain and experienced, exciting talent like Nova to spend some time there and lose all of his skills and have to rely on a stupid gimmick?
How else can you explain Big Show going there to lose weight and coming back fatter?
How else can you explain Danny Basham as an OVW world champion when he was sharng the roster (at the time) with The Prototype (Cena), Leviathan (Batista) and Orton???

I believe it's carried by a local cable company in America. Audience is virtually zero though.

Haas was also an amateur, as was his sadly departed brother Russ. He didn't experience any success on the level of Angle or Lesnar though.
OVW gets a tough time. it's a good promotion and DOES produce some good talent, but if Vince calls the big guys up to the roster before they're ready, it's hardly OVW's fault.
it's the WWE's developmental territory run by Jim Cornette.
athletes go through OVWN to earn a chance at WWE, and occasionally take their WWE gimmicks back to OVW for a night here and there (Nick Dinsmore used the Eugene gimmick at some OVW shows recently and a modified Mordecai is also there i believe)
