Every so often when Nintendo don't release anything big there are tonnes of magazines, websites, forums... predicting the demise of Nintendo. That Nintendo are finished. They then have a brief sales boost and despite the fact this demise, this fall, has been predicted year in year out for the past 10 years... it still hasn't happened..
In fact Nintendo are still taking years to produce games, still producing other consoles, still buying shares in other companies (including baseball teams and Bandai), still entering new industries (just entered the movie industry)... so they can't be doing that bad now can they.
