Excellent movie, dealing with drug abuse in a number of different forms. The "anti-trainspotting" if you would as there isn't a laugh in sight, and it's extraordianarily grim.

Granted, there's some majorly disturbing scenes in the film, namely Harry's ailing arm, and the "ass-to-ass" scene later on, but I think the film's overrated in terms of shock value. It's an amazing film, but a lot of people I know have seen it for the wrong reasons, and ended up disappointed. I remember reading a while back that apparently groups of drug dealers committed suicide after watching RFAD because they realised that their lives were worthless.

It's an excellent film.

Not sure I'd be in a rush to watch it again though, so probably worth a rental.

I'd recommend doing that, it's a hard film to watch. But not in an "Wow that was sooooo hardcore man!!!" but in that in deals with painful issues in a realistic way and there's no hollywood panache.

Maybe I won't appreciate it. I'll rent it first I think.

It's not a grudge, I just think you aren't going to appreciate Requiem.
Of course now I've said that, you'll say you did even if you sat there scratching your head being all "Er...so why is the fridge screaming?"

I wouldn't waste £5 on this film, buy another copy of Commando - you said you liked that one.

Ooh aren't you one to hold a grudge. I'm entitled to my opinion. I like character driven movies. I just thought se7en was ok. Nothing more.
