Inner self-satisfaction isn't enough anymore

Donating to charity has become a status thing, which is shoddy.

People suck

Aha, I see.

I've never understood why people need material encouragement to donate to these charities, though. I can only view it as a "look at me, I donated to charity, aren't I a wonderful person" kinda thing.

I also wonder how many people have donated the bare minimum just to get a 'fashionable' Nike item! You either want to donate, or you don't. Shouldn't really need any encouragement or reward for it, nor should you need to announce it to the world.

Its a yellow rubber wristband that Lance Armstrong and Nike produced. Cost $1 and the money goes to cancer research.

Those stretchy, yellow, rubber wristbands that footballers wear and people wear, for style.

They buy them and the money goes to Lance Armstrong's charity.

My cousin is a good friend of the Armstrongs.

(I love name dropping.)

A great idea, anything that raises money for cancer research is good and this one seems to be one that has done very well.

Although people who sell them at stupid prices on e-bay and don't give some of the money to charity really do suck.
