Donating to charity has become a status thing, which is shoddy.
People suck
RAH.
I've never understood why people need material encouragement to donate to these charities, though. I can only view it as a "look at me, I donated to charity, aren't I a wonderful person" kinda thing.
I also wonder how many people have donated the bare minimum just to get a 'fashionable' Nike item! You either want to donate, or you don't. Shouldn't really need any encouragement or reward for it, nor should you need to announce it to the world.
;D
> What the hell is a Live Strong Wristband?!
Its a yellow rubber wristband that Lance Armstrong and Nike produced. Cost $1 and the money goes to cancer research.
They buy them and the money goes to Lance Armstrong's charity.
My cousin is a good friend of the Armstrongs.
(I love name dropping.)
:)
Although people who sell them at stupid prices on e-bay and don't give some of the money to charity really do suck.
