I don't know about you but I have trouble keeping up with it all these days.

Do you have any suggestions for us (the rival MIST forum doesn't seem to have got off the ground) - or do you like it as busy as possible?

At the top of the Newbie FOG, you could have:

'ONLY THE ELITE GET INTO THE FOG.
THE NOTABLES WILL PICK ONE A WEEK.
WILL YOU BE ONE OF THEM?'

That would be great..... go on!

In the old days I did prefer the fact you could read every post, and now if you don't visit the FOG for one day everything is completely new.

I don't mind that much though, but is more busy than before and is increasing.

If we kept the Newbies off of FOG they would miss all the excitement and possibly lose interest and never become regulars.

But then I suppose as there are so many of them we could have a Future of Gaming Newbie Forum and the regulars could visit it to wind up the Newbies.

And in order to keep some Newbies on the real FOG we could let them on after 200 posts.

It's a bit segregationist though, if there is such a word.

I agree with YH (second time in as many days...there must be something wrong with me..), FOG is definitely too busy. I used to be able to read just about every post that was made here, but I'm having serious trouble keeping up now, and what's more - when I do read things, a lot of them just don't seem to be worth reading like they used to.

Decent topica are falling out of sight too quickly for my liking. I can see the benefit of closing the FOG forum for a week or so.

The FOG has got way too busy, everytime I click back onto the FOG forum topics the post on each topic has grown, then you have all these little newbies who just 'buzz' around the place, its ok when they are kept in the WLT, but when they get out the FOG gets a bit crazy....

...maybe Microsoft will release a FOG simulator, to go with its 'Microsoft Traffic Jam Simulator'??

I think you should have a message check when posting that searches for 'future of gaming' in a post, and if it isn't included it autodeletes after pressing the 'Post This Message' button.
