Was anyone else a member of SR about 8 years ago when you got sent out the snazzy little mag. It's full of Amiga stuff, must've been big back then. The reviews are even done with a little target system (sue OPS2 mag for copyright!). Just thought this was pretty cool actually. And how prices of computer games have soared since then, quite shocking really!!

Just noticed something... Tony, it says here that you registered 419 days ago, but I can't remember you posting for a while.

Were you going under any other names you never told us about? :0)

I have thought about suing the official PS2 mag, yes. That target system is quite blatantly ripped off from us and if you look in the latest issue (out around about now), on the out next month page, they've clearly nicked my text effect for their Gran Turismo 3 - see my Formula One 2001 page in issue 11.2 - blatant!

I've looked at my GBA and Gamegear side by side and, while the Gamegear does have some nice graphics, the resolution is a lot lower than that of the GBA.

Think Mastersystem vs SNES to get an idea of the difference. The main problem is that the Gamegears screen is backlit, making it easier to see the graphics, but at the same time hiding some of the lack of detail in those graphics.

Now, I'm a big fan of Sega and the fact that I still have my gamegear is testamony to that, but the Gameboy Advance is smaller, neater and just looks so much the better console (not surprising, being brand new compared to a handheld that is getting on a bit now)

and, yes, I was a member of SR about ten years ago, or whenever the first Gameboy came out.

Yes I remember those days free Sensuality Mouse Mat when you joined (now only £1.49 from SR ;-} ), and the Target system of scoring. I remember the money off tokens, and stuff in NRG pretty cool :-)

Ive been meaning to get one to compare the Gamegears spec with the GameBoyAdvance just for curiosity.

After all the GameBoyAdvance has a pretty poor screen resolution, and yet the older GameGear had pretty good graphics and a TV adapter!
