"Half life 2 question."

I've been thinking about getting HL2 for a while now but im still not sure if my graphics card is good enough. I've got a geforce4 mx440 128mb, can someone please tell me if that would be ok to play on it, mainly source.

it's better but i don't know how much by and what the difference there is in the go version and the regular pc version.

It works fine on an FX 5200 Go (mobile version); but that's with settings of 800x600 in a window. Running sound, model and texture details on high and everything else on low, everything runs smoothly, even during crazy battle heavy moments.

Oh, and it turns out Valve purposely crippled nVidia cards so that it would force them to run Half-Life 2 using 24-bit shaders all the time, when 16 were all that needed mostly.

What's the rest of your system like?

CPU Speed?
RAM?
HDD?

I'd say yes upgrade. You could run it but not on high settings as you are at the moment. do a cheap upgrade it will last you a year or so then do a big upgrade later on.

So do you guys think i need to upgrade my card to ha a resonable game of HL2 source?

it is by far one of my best purchases for my pc. i gotta upgrade everything as plan on going PCI express for my next card but sticking with geforce
