It took me a long time to really find a song that matches my current level, but I found it, and now I can play it almost perfectly.

his best album was Sex and Religion, it had more of a "band" feel to it and didn't just sound like a vehicle for him to fretw*nk over.

i give you "rescue me or bury me" on the above album.
no denying it's a fabulous piece of guitar work, but slackly bolting a halfarsed intro/outro onto it does NOT make it a song.

Don't know about Paul Gilbert, but Joe Satriani was a guitar teacher and his students included Steve Vai, Kirk Hammet, and some others who I can't remember.

They're all amazing.

And all friends too. And they all went to the same guitar institute didnt they?

Paul Gilbert is pure class.
I prefer him to Steve Vai to be honest.

Joe Satriani is still God of everything, though.

To play anything paul gilbert does, you'd have to be on crack.

I'm completely self-taught, I rock.

Pretty rubbish at it too.

The last time I played something on the guitar, someone cried.

I only ever knew one song. It was "We Will Rock You".

I learnt it on a left-handed guitar that my mate had.
