You can control some dreams, some you can't. Some, you just have to go along with.

Yeah, I've had exactly that before, I dreamt about somthing and thought it had happened before and then had an experiance in real life of the same nature, realising that it hadn't happend before, but it was going to happen in the future, like the opposite of a de-ja-vu. (the french term)
I've also had recurring dreams that are different to the previous dreams, i.e. different things happen, but the dream is set in the same place as the previous dreams, so totaly different things happen, but in exactly the same location.
