Trying to find out if anybody has been to Zimbabwe recently.

yes i am a white Zimbabwean, i was born here and have lived here most of my life.
a few years ago it was quit dangerous being white since everbody decided that you were a racist.
one of my friends went to a night club got drunk and passed out in his car in the parking lot, a few guys drove past and shot him in the leg.
But to answer your question yes i am Zimbabwean.

its not that bad. i am actually here in Harare at the moment and everything has calmed down quit alot. althought the white farmers havent gotten their land back most of them arnt doing to badly.

and the police have stopped harrassing people alot and now they only charge you huge fines. but you can bribe all of them so thats not even a problem.

I went there a couple of years ago; got robbed, saw the police shoot someone outside our hotel (he was a car robber or something) - That was Harare though, quite a depressing place I found.

Also the only place in the world as far as I know where during the rush hour at traffic lights, the traffic queues up over a railway line!!

Yup, white farmers mostly. The black Zimbabweans want the land back after it was given to white people when the country was occupied.

I know white people who have lived their most of their lives and never had a problem, it really depends on what part of the country youre in.
