What an utterly, utterly awful piece of dross. I've heard people say it was commercial and stuff, but I just put that down to it being a Hollywood film and they were goths. But, boy, it *is* one long commercial. First 5 minutes are a joke. I thought they were still advertising stuff, but the film had actually started. JVC, Converse, Fed-Ex - those goths weren't kidding.

The biggest shame is that it had quite a good plot. The thing about the robot laws, how they can be broken (although I thought they would do something more clever, like it didn't know it was a robot, therefore rules do not apply. But they didn't), and the various twists - acceptable, I've seen worse. But the rest of it made me wretch my soul up.

He is joking.

Although I don't know if you know that, and are playing your own game.

Very enjoyable flick. Considering some of the gobshize churned out this year, it was probably my 2nd favourite of the year, next to Collateral.

That is quite possibly one of the dumbest comments I've seen yet towards me.
Are you seriously suggesting that the reason I didn't watch I Robot and hardly any of Will Smith's movies is because I am racist - as opposed to Will Smith making pisspoor films that require nothing more than being there?

Maybe, but the amount of product placement that we saw in i,robot was way over the top.

I thought all the advertising was a comment on who industries control so much in our lives now so in the future you wont be able to turn around without knowing everything you do everything even you are owned by a company. Take Will Smith's character for example, that robotics company practically owned him they had the right to give him that robotic arm etc. I think he says something like "Gotta read the fine print on the donor card, it doesn't tell you what they can put in aswell". Corporations own everything even human rights in the future. I thought that's what the logos everywhere etc was supposed to show.

Well, it was based on an Isaac Asimov novel, so that's expected.

One assumes you're joking of course.

(I'm sure it's obvious to everyone he is, but I'm having a bad day...)
