What decent ones are available?
Burnout 3 and Need for Speed Underground 2/3/whatever spring to mind.
Can you recommend a decent racy game for me?
Oh and with Forza you can customise your cars like never before and draw rude words on the side of them, then take them online and crash into french people....not that I have anything against the French...
Burnout 3 I've heard is good fun if a little arcadey?
I used to like Gran Turismo on the PS2 when I had that.
Decisions decisions...thanks chaps, I'll have a look at prices and reviews etc.
If you want an arcade racer your best bet is to go for Burnout 3, lots of crashing and probably the fastest racer out there. Just make sure you turn off the annoying DJ and have a decent custom soundtrack ready.
If you're looking for more of a realistic game then PG2 is your best bet, hundreds of licensed vehicles and enough single player challenges to keep you going into the next millenia, as long as you don't get bored.
If you want an all out sim I'd go for TOCA : Race Driver 2, it's excellent and varied and probably has the most intresting single player out of all the games.
Oh and for Rally games I'd go for Rallisport Challenge 2.
100+ cars, plenty of cities (+ 2 through Live, although that's useless to you) and loads to do in single player.
Probably the best-looking racer evah. Very good game, I just got a little bored of it since I sucked so much.
Oh, and you might want to look out for Forza Motorsport, Xbox's unofficial Gran Turismo beater.
What's PGR2?
