Even miserable monotone Harrison Ford came in for it.

Shame Ep3 is going to be just as fun as the other two.
And oh look! It's the guy with the huge forehead!

Yeah, said it before, read "Raging Bulls Easy Riders" to see just how much help Lucas had with the scripts. His original was nonsense and worked on by two mates, Brian De Palma laughed at the preview rough-cut and told Lucas exactly what was wrong and he got Kasdan to write Empire & Jedi.
But he's rich and insulated now, so Episode 3 will suck just as much as 1 & 2.
Which is a shame, because I remember how excited I was reading previews and the teaser trailer for Phantom.
I tried to convince myself it was good for the longest time, but can admit now it was awful.

looks like?!

The last time someone did that, it was Harrison Ford on the original Star Wars set. I think the quote is something along the lines of "You can write this crap, but you can't say it"
Then we got a series of cool movies, especially when Lucas wasn't directing.
How would things have been different if someone had done the same on the set of EP1?

That was after Howard The Duck.
He's a frognecked no-talent assclown lacking the ability to create Star Wars movies by himself.
Too insulated and powerful to let anybody say "Yo George, this sucks" and get outside help.
Here Lucas, here's a blueprint for Star Wars:
Stormtroopers. Lightsabers. Space Battles. Droids. Lawrence Kasdan.
