Heard the Scissor Sisters cover of Comfortably Numb earlier today.

Wouldn't say it was the worst cover I've ever heard, nor that it was that bad in itself, but it's a far sight worse than the original.

Holy Tiger? If you're referring to his first solo album, it was called "Holy Diver".

A lot of the stuff Sabbath with Dio wasn't quite up to the standards of their early 70s work (And sounded a lot different as well, although not as far removed as Seventh Star or Forbidden) though Die Young, Computer God and Children of the Sea are all excellent songs. To be perfectly honest though, he fitted in (and sounded far better) in Rainbow especially on Rising, a truly amazing album.

it means they picked up a royalty cheque each time someone covered it.

it's only sacrilidge if they do a lousy job of it mate.
luckily the original of war pigs had a LOT of room for improvement so in that case, the original isn't the best (as mentioned previously, Pride & Glory @ DOnnington 94 rocked the ass off of war pigs)
