What are your best and worst cover versions of all time.........

One of the best would be a cover of The Sonics 'Strychnine' by The Fall. Or of Lee Perry's 'Kimble' by The Fall.

Or maybe the cover of Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick and Tich's 'Legend of Xanadu', by...er...The Fall!

I'd say worst i heard last year was Jamie Cullum and Katie Melua murdering The Love Cats at The Brits.

A site called popjustice.co.uk had a poll of the worst covers of '04, and the results are:

Well, I heard it through one of those new fangled MP3 phones. So, while I didn't like it, it wouldn't be fair to draw a more extreme conclusion based on the quality of the version I heard.
