I never said I don't care for these people, I just argued against a point made (which wasn't even the point that was made, I misunderstood it).
Everyone else has.
And of course, somebody saying that I don't care about them and I'm obviously just laughing at them because they're dead doesn't hurt my feelings in any way.

I don't know if someone's said this before, but have you ever heard of empathy? Cos if you tried having some, maybe it would change your smart-alec approach to the situation.

Your mother has got 2 broken arms.
You are the only able bodied person in your family.
All your friends are dead.
The helpers have told you, that you will die from the disease or lack of water.
And to take it a step further:
Not one person in the West cares a jot about you. Your country will recieve about $10mil, but your town isn't considered important or the worst hit, so you will be getting nothing.
You're just seen as a 1 in that 120,000. You're just a number.
Your life is practically over. To get back to the even slightly organised and liveable conditions that you call your slum, it will take about 5-10 years. But 2 generations could have died out by then...

Certainly more worried than they are by 120,000 people. Most of whom probably couldn't be bothered to learn english.
