"Buying R1 DVD's?"

I seem to remember buying the A-Team region1 dvd and having to go pick it up from the post office and pay some customs charge or suchlike ontop of the price when collecting it.

Now I plan on buying another R1 boxset as its a lot cheaper, but I don't really fancy paying the charge if it can be avoided.

Is there anyway to avoid the charge? Am I right in guessing that if its shipped from the US I'll be paying but if it comes from within the UK then I wont?

Nor me, although I haven't ever bought a boxset from their.

I'm not too sure on charges but when I've ordered from Playusa.com I've never has to pay any customs charges as of yet.
