Now I plan on buying another R1 boxset as its a lot cheaper, but I don't really fancy paying the charge if it can be avoided.
Is there anyway to avoid the charge? Am I right in guessing that if its shipped from the US I'll be paying but if it comes from within the UK then I wont?
Thanks

Ah right, sorry. Was it not out on R2 when you bought the R1?
Providing they mark it as a gift with low value you should be alright. That is of course unless the fat t*at at Cus**toms decides he is going to act like a complete ass and take your parcel to pieces to find out the real value which is highly unlikely.

I already own that, was just saying when I bought the R1 version I had to pay extra
I've ordered far too many from the US over the past year and have only been charged once. Even if they're well over £20 worth, but most of them were marked 'gift' or 'toys', some were even marked 'DVDs' so I have no idea why I'm not getting charged.

Excellent, may as well give it a try, will still be cheaper even if I do get charged.
