In the sentence, "The runaway train went over the hill" woukd went be an auxilary verb, or would over be the adverbial?

Brain = numb from transcript analysing, I'd probably be able to figure otherwise.

Thanks in advance.

You know the test for whether you use "me" or "I", by taking out all the other factors, you can do the same as a verb test.

Simply put "I" then the verb. See, "I went" works. "I over" doesn't.

I think I'd have prefered that, if I had my choice again.

It was good last year at AS, we looked at gender and stuff in language and representation and accent and dialect to a degree, however this year is language acquisition and development which sickens me.

This sounds pedantic and pointless.

Choose a better subject.

It's English Language, not GCSE, therefore it's picked to the bone.

I understood it more before I did Eng Lang I think. This has jsut complicated it.

I never had to do auxiliary and adverbial in English.

It's probably easy.

urgh you're right.

I'm tired.

Over could be adverbial, or auxillary, or, screw it I give up.

How is over a verb though.

"over" isn't an action.

Reminds me of Dumbo.

"I think I can, I think I can..."

*train goes over the top of the hill*

"I thought I could! I thought I could!"

I love that film.
