Everyone has forgot about the way that we play games, the controllers.

They started off as a controller with a D-Pad and 2 buttons, then the mega drive, with a d-pad and 3 buttons, then psx with a d-pad and 10 buttons, there were controllers that i have forgot about or not worth stating, then the n64 with a d-pad 10 buttons And an ANALOUGE STICK. From then on the consoles copied that idea and either changed the controller or made a new one for a new console. The analouge gave the perfect control for games. Now something new, they should of ran out of ideas by now . The AIRPAD. Controlling the game by tilting your hand.

There are already pads available for the PC which are sensetive to tilting. They're not really that great.

Go try them out.

The perfect Flight sim controller is a joystick, seeing as that's what most planes use. Personnally I only like space combat sims, the only flight sim that was any good was Red Baron but Space sims have so much freedom in movement, subject and craft. Then the keyboard comes in really handy too for messing with setups like energy and such. Ahh, there aren't enough good Space combat sims, probably because not enough people respect them. Go forth and buy the Freespace 1 and 2 pack and if you don't enjoy these (well Freespace 2 at least) then you are quite clearly insane. Or maybe Space combat sims are just not your thing, but I'd prefer to think it was the former.

I think they will come up with something to revelutionise it a bit more.

I reckon they will put motion sensors in the controllers, so that, in a flight sim, you turn the control pad over so that the back/bottom of it is facing towards you, and the plane in the flight sim flips over acording to the controller.
I think that would be great if controllers were like that, but they would make things a bit difficult.

This Bob posted back in April 2000.

If you're talking about long term members, well, I know that Ant is definately one.

Talking of FoG birthdays, it's mine on Sunday...

You know, the oldest message on the forum (which is NOT the last one listed, seeing as it was popped a few months ago), was by Bob.

All the original members of the forum (all dozen of us!) were in it... me, meka, sniper, er-no a a few others (obviously I was under the name of Sonic back then!)

Oh, how times have changed!
