"No CD in drive: Error 111" came up.
Frustrating.
Read the website and a LOT of people are experiencing this problem.
There's a patch you can download to fix this, so it's not the game that's bugged.
Apparently it's a copy-protection programme that went a little wrong.
So download the patch from http://www.poptop. com (remove space) and enjoy.
haven't tried this yet as I'm out, but will check later and let you know for sure if this fixes it.
Peace

There was an issue concerning the copyright protection that the manuf. installed without Poptops say-so.
All the patch does is update the .exe file and install some other stuff.
It checks to make sure the correct files were installed and let's you access the game.
I'm not a tech wiz, but this patch resolves the issue that 50-60% of people are experiencing with installing fine but not being able to launch.
Poptop apologised and sent me the patch, along with the promise of a bonus disk for the trouble.
There was some smudgy rubbish on the disk, but it installed fine so no probs there.
the website anyone needs for Tropico is
http://www.poptop. com
All the info you need is there, as well as a link to Cafe Tropica, the forum addresses all the issues that come up.
Now, just need the Black and White patch....
