Hi.

I (foolishly) uninstalled PowerDVD 6 a long time ago, and now I need it again. Unfortunately, I don't have the disk (I don't even remeber seeing one).

Would anyone be able to host a copy of the installer from their CD on the net somewhere? Not the trial, the full version. I emailed Dell and all they could offer was, "Download the trial version here". Idiots.

Thanks.

I like Dell PCs. I don't have a problem with them. Professional looking products, customer care is excellent, and order-to-delivery time was first-rate, also.

Since I bought my Dell last June, I've added a HS/Fan combo to my Radeon 9800, overclocked it, added more RAM etc and it can still play games released this year, with everything on High/Max and have no FPS troubles. At all.

Thats a blooming good point, but i think i would suggest novatech as i have no experience of Dell computers in the sense of paying for and owning one. I have used alot of dell computers. But i didn't change things on them and they were just used for typing and office type stuff.

Novatech however have sold me 2 computers and the parts for another which have all run perfectly and i have never had a problem with them. If a friend couldn't find what they wanted at novatech i probably would suggest dell as i don't know of any other companies that i would say to a mate give them serveral hundred pounds and they will give you a good PC.

Yeah.

I built my own machine.

But if someone came up to me and asked where to get a PC from, I'd say Dell, based on the fact that they make decent machines, they offer a guarantee and there is no PC World style rep to sell you stuff you don't need/

i assume the codecs will still work after the trial runs out but if not go to http://www.divx-digest.com/software/media_player_classic.html and get media player classic as it handles dvd's and all sorts or other media.

Would understand if you didn't want to change program though, i just use it for playing asian films with subs that i have downloaded.

I downloaded the trial of PowerDVD, and it solved the problem of DVD's not working in WMP (it uses the codecs, y'see). I'll get around to buying it probably, when I have money.

i am assuming so i mite be wrong but if they don't give you all the software that is installed when you first get it that seems a little silly, i relise that your not paying for the software but the fact that the cd wasn't there seems bad.

True they do seem to make good pc's that don't seem to have faults very often, it's more the price that you pay for the system that you get i was refering to. i understand why people would buy one for less hassle insted of putting in a few parts themselves.
