If I wanted to copy one of my DVDs, would there be any complications?

I have a DVD-RW drive, I can get blank DVDs, but would the player play it?

Would it copy it in the first place?

etc.

Thanks

I think this showed my motives for making copies of my DVDs, Coin.

Right, got the files I want, start to Back it up, then it tells me that there's copyright protection error.

Anything I can do to remedy this?

I thought it wasn't illegal to copy CDs or DVDs if you bought them yourself, you own them and only you use the copies?

*ahem*

As for you Cookie Monster, try googling the words "get bent".

:)

Sorry, this doesn't make any sense to me.

So you'll illegally copy a DVD yet you're concerned about the software being legal or not?

Is it legal?

Basically the process is just: Copy original DVD to hard drive, shrink files to fit on a DVD-R or whatever, copy to DVD-R.

The problem is that commerical DVDs can hold double what DVD-R and things can.

DVD Shrink will allow you to remove things you don't want from the original DVD - e.g. other audio languages, commentary, extras, etc.

Hmmm, seems hasslesome.

Oh well. If I lose another one then I'll regret not doing this all, but if I don't lose another one then it won't be a watse of time. I'm lazy ye see.
