My mum is a midwife, and every few days she comes back from work with an interesting story. It could be happy, it could be sad, it could be stupid:
Yesterday, my mum was looking after a woman who had a very young daughter called Victoria. She got chatting to the woman and asked her if they'd thought of a name for the baby boy they were about to have. The woman told my mum to ask little Victoria because she wanted to pick the name. My mum asked the little girl, and she answered...
"FRED!"
Fred for crying out loud. Freddie wouldn't be too bad, or better yet make it his middle name - but FRED! And so the parents are calling their son Fred. And together they will have VICTORIA and Fred.
Yesterday, my mum was looking after a woman who had a very young daughter called Victoria. She got chatting to the woman and asked her if they'd thought of a name for the baby boy they were about to have. The woman told my mum to ask little Victoria because she wanted to pick the name. Fred for crying out loud. Freddie wouldn't be too bad, or better yet make it his middle name - but FRED! And so the parents are calling their son Fred. And together they will have VICTORIA and Fred.
