Also, I cut my finger the other day and it wouldn't stop bleeding for aaaaaages. I tried to weld the cut shut by buring it on the oven hob.

I had to use scissors too.
I got some yellow gunk coming out of it too, followed by a spray of blood and the spongey part of the skin tore deep into my toe. The worst bit was the 'clink' as the scissor hit the bone.

I performed some self-surgery today.
My big toe nail was ingrowing into the soft spongey under-nail stuff so I had to dig the nail out.
It was messy.
