Roy Keane used to be your model professional. He is a great of leader of both club and country. He has every quality you need in a midfielder. He is a great passer of the ball and pick out a teammate from up to 50 yards. Tackling is quite sensational. He is like a brick wall and you wouldn't want to have the ball with Keano running towards you!!! He helps the attackers when going forward and anything that falls out of the 18 yard box you will be sure he will have a go. He is an average header of the ball but when he has a battle against Vieira he may lose out in the air. Very quick and can cover a short distance at a very good speed. Occasionally shows some flair but is a simple player who just plays football.

Keano has one disadvantage which is his temperment. He had seemed to have cooled down but recently since getting sent off for a horrific challenge on Alf Inge Haaland he has been a bit of a hot head.

He has come along way in his career. He started out at Nottingham Forest where he had 4 good years. Of course when United came along he can't refuse moving to the biggest club in England. He settled right in and made sure he will be a Republic of Ireland international for many years.

He wants to finish his career playing for the club he supported as a boy which is Celtic. What a better time for him to leave would be in the next couple of years with what Martin O' Neill has done this year.

If he does leave he will want to make sure he has done everything possible at Manchester United, maybe winning the Champions League one more time would make him feel it was time to move on.

Keane would be a sensation at Celtic where HE would be the man. At United he is part of a team of Superstars with Beckham and Giggs sharing the limelight and now Van Nistelrooy as well. Keane would be the Difference between Celtic attracting other top players and achieving Euro sucess or simply winning domestic trophies. Keane would have to move after his current contract runs out and Celtic would be looking to pay no more than £3m.

Yep. Winnin the premiership, champions league and F.a cup should do it for old Keano. He may not succeed at Celtic though.
