Ah, I remember this one. My advice remains pretty much unchanged; bone 'em. A situation like this will end badly no matter what your input. So use it to your advantage and make sure you at least get something out of it.

Remember what some other guy said about letting some else break it to her.
Maybe quietly give the evidence to a mutual friend or something...
You don't want people thinking that you're manipulating the situation here! ;-)
