... crack a .rar archive's password?

I've managed to download a substantially big RAR-ed file off BitTorrent, but it's been password-ed... Is there any way I can crack/open it?

There are password crackers on the market, but it uses two forms: -

1) a common wordlist
2) Brute force.

I've NEVER been able to open a rar without knowing the password..........

Try 'eminem'.

I downloaded the Blade Trinity OST to check it out. It was protected so I used 'blade' as the password. It worked.

I think the only way to get into a passworded rar is to brute force them, which takes forever and if they've used a word/number combination not covered by the wordlist, then it's no use at all.

I don't believe anyone's written anything which allows you to just extract the password from it somehow.
