Why cant english people make beer?

Been a while now since I've been out for a good drink, just too busy with uni work and other things.

A new pub opened nearby though that does some good foreign beers, will need to make an effort to go there soon.

Because it's true.

Although it was some crappy greek metaxa, still whisky though, and I was 15 at the time, making it even more 1337

I can still handle alcohol better than most.

Beer = Urrrrrrrrrrgh

I don't do beer, never have and never will.

I thought the English could make beer. Infact I thought it was the best in the world.

Cheap way to get drunk? Home brewing kits. I brewed 5 gallons of lager with a few friends in the autumn, and it was great stuff (At least for a price that equated to 28p per pint). Having got drunk, we then turned up at a church youth group- which was quite an experience!

Unfortunately, the remaining 3 gallons was disposed of by some rather irritated adults. You can look 18 and buy the kits, but you can't hide the fact you're 15 or 16 in front of parents.

Yup, makes it a cheaper experience to get drunk, too. So if that's your intention in the first place, you have no worries...

Hehe - happened to me the week before - some guys who live nearby were rather amused by the way I was walking home that night.
