We did this for a few years a while back, but I don't think it happened last year. The idea was that SR donated a console, and we donated our GAD's, to some charity for sick kids. I think that's where it went...although Snuggly did get his Xbox around that time. Whatever - any chance of it happening this year?

It's for charidee.

Just the reason I don't really bother with these forums, as soon as you don't agree they get all offended

I'm up for this.

In my latest GAD claim email I said I'd like to donate one to charity, and if there would be any way of doing so as I heard people had in the past. This sounds perfect.

Or if SR decide not to they can always donate some money to Penny Arcade's (gaming webcomic http://www.penny-arcade.com) Child's Play charity http://www.childsplaycharity.org which is set up for 5 childrens hospitals. Xbox and Playstation have given them $2000+

I think the childrens hospital was GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital) but then just the other day they received the worlds biggest stocking full of gifts for the kids at GOSH http://www.ananova.com/news/story/sm_1204516.html

Please, don't be a mongo yourself. SR aren't exactly in the position to send planes full of aid to starving refugees. They're a computer games company, and the point is that people are giving up what they've earnt for the benefit of others, and they may not be in a position to donate money themselves.

Sudan isn't the only crisis area, y'know.

And if I was terminally ill and confined to a hospital, I'd love an Xbox or a PS2 (even specials wouldn't touch a Gamecube, though). You never know, it might just brighten up someone's day. Don't be a self-righteous bellend, because I'm not interested.

Explain please?

I think its kinda stupid when you consider there's whole familys starving in sudan. Plus, If you where a 'sick kid', wouldn't you want to be seeing the world, not starring at an Xbox.

I'd be up for that if SR organised such a thing. I've got one unclaimed GAD that I didn't really know what to do with (seeing as there's not really any games out now that I want right now and no new ones for a couple of months).

Considering I was going to write "for mongos" before, I'd say that was pretty kind-hearted of me.

I donated my GADs back in the day, but haven't won it for ages, so this probably wouldn't include me anyway.
