We did this for a few years a while back, but I don't think it happened last year. The idea was that SR donated a console, and we donated our GAD's, to some charity for sick kids. I think that's where it went...although Snuggly did get his Xbox around that time. Whatever - any chance of it happening this year?

It's for charidee.

I wasn't that it didn't arrive on time, its that it didn't come up. My order history had nothing, so thats why I got a bit annoyed because I had claimed it more than a week earlier and they hadn't sorted out the problem they knew about.

And yep I'm brain dead. Thats why I’m not automatically going, oh, what a brilliant idea Monkey man whilst I fondle his genitals

Marzman doesn't seem to realise that starving families in the Sudan don't like playing games, they're far too sophisticated for that...

I can't even be bothered to say anything, he's just to braindead to even try and get a point across to him.

I tried very hard to contest that arguement, just to be 'controversial'. But he's right you know - it's not even as though you'd miss the game, you didn't pay for it.

Of course, that's easy for me to say, I won't be the one giving up my GAD.

Marzman, you seem to think that charity only goes to some faraway country where everyone is starving.

I think it's pretty obvious that this giveaway isn’t going to help starving people in 3rd world countries, or help cure diseases in this country. But believe it or not there are some people deserving of such a cause. And it’s safe to say it’d be far easier and more beneficial to choose this option rather than sell the games and give the money to a cause that needs millions to work.

Terminally ill people are offered alcohol, movies and other “privileges” to try and brighten up what they have left of their life, so why not use games in the same way? They have the ability to brighten up a kid’s (or an adult’s) life and can be used not just now but in years to come. Why do you see this as an undeserving cause?

Or is it just that you’re too greedy to part with a thirty pound game yourself? I remember a month ago you complaining when a Gameaday win of yours didn’t arrive “on time” you certainly didn’t mind having a yell at the staffies then.

You have but I'm not bothered with that. All I'm trying to say, is that if people want to do something for charity, go buy that Band aid single and stop trying to make them selves feel better by doing something (like this suppose give away) that would probably make very little difference.

Plus, that band aid singles worth it, even if its only to laugh at the dizzy rascal bit :)

I'd donate one, if I won three first.

I can't afford to buy my brothers some presents - despite how awesome they are - and they don't expect to get any from me, so if I won, I'd rather give one to my brother/s rather than some kid I don't know who'll probably use it as a coaster.

Read what I wrote properly. I'm not interested in Sudan, or Cambodia, or Ethiopia on here. SR can't supply that sort of aid, so there's no point getting frustrated and shouting until you're blue in the face about it. What they can do, is arrange for any GAD's donated to be taken to a charity. Tonty can even ring the doorbell and run off if he wants.

I don't care what gripes you have with other members of these forums, I've never spoken to you before, so I've never disagreed with you about anything. I hope you don't talk to people like this in shops, or on street corners.
