Like Grandprix, I have been scratching my head to come up with something that could fill the void left by the untimely demise of SRW and have come up with the idea of having a 'Promotion' competition.

This would involve, to start with, a draft of real-life superstars by all those who enter and therafter submission of a show to the organiser (me) each week consisting of a match listing and results and a very brief overview of the storylines (if any) involved in each match. Each weekly show would have a two-hout 'time budget' for the 'promoter' to allocate as they see fit. As an indicator of each promotions success, an attendance and critical review of each show would be added by myself. The attendance and critical ratings would be determined by such factors as technical ability and overness of the wrestelrs involved, logical booking, fan loyalty etc.

If anyone is interested or would like me to fill any blanks let me know and if there is enough interest, I'll start drawing up a list of wrestlers for the draft.

And in a cruel twist of fate, lakers selected HHH as his first draft pick... ;-)

Cool. I'll put together an e-mail 'promotion form' so everyone can register their promotion's details (just things like 'Name' 'location' etc...) the wrestlers will be assigned during an on-line draft.

Then feedback would read something like (for the first segment)

The fans enjoyed The Rock being on the show and he kept them entertained for the whole segment, but critics felt that the segment went on too long and added nothing to the show as the Rock didn't build towards a future match.

(for the second segment)

The fans were confused by Regal and Eugene losing the belts so soon. Critics felt that the match suffered from a mis-match in styles between the two teams

Then an explaination of what went down something along the lines of...

The Rock comes to the ring and talks himself up, interacting with the crowd and getting in all his catchphrases.

La Resistance, William Regal/Eugene feud furthered by anothe title change in dubious circumstances, due to La Res using the ropes to get the win...

Repeated for each match...

Video segment hyping Benoit vs HHH - 5 Minutes
Steven Richards vs Matt Hardy - 5 Minutes - No decision due to Batista coming to the ring and attacking both men
Women's Title Match - Trish Stratus (C) - vs Lita - 10 Minutes - Winner: Trish Stratus by DQ, as Lita fails to break choke hold before the count of 5
Backstage segment featuring Evolution - 10 Minutes
Intercontinental Title Match - Christian vs Shelton Benjamin (C) - 20 Minutes - Winner: Shelton Benjamin by DQ, due to interfearance from Tyson Tomko
Backstage Interview featuring Chris Benoit - 5 Minutes
