Precisely. The majority of 'Broked Sony's' will no doubt be a result of owner-retardedness. Or simply negligence in taking care of your stuff, which is COMMON SENSE.
I think some people just dont take care of thier products properly, and abuse it thinking that becasue its a Sony nothing will go wrong.

3 years ago? They've been established in the business for far longer than that.
Whether now or 3 years ago, their position has hardly changed.

Right, that's like saying "Don't install Windows because it's riddled with exploitable flaws and loopholes. And it's prone to virii. And Bill Gates has established MS in the IT industry so he doesn't give a toss what the final product is like anymore."
That's stupid.

Exactly, three years ago, they were actually comitted to making a name for themselves in the TV market. Now they know there name is there, they can put any old junk out there and people will lap it up. Trust me, I've worked for John lewis in their Audio and TV department and the only advice I had from every other salesman was "If possible, avoid selling people a Sony, because chances are we'll have to foot the bill to fix it within 6 months".
Same goes for my Sony VCR, my Sony In-car equipment and the 3PS2/1PSTwo's I have had.
It's a load of balls all this 'Sony are Evil' talk. They do make high quality gear and I'd always consider their products over a competitors unless there was a valid reason not to.
"usually dispatched within 2 to 3 months"
They aint expecting any till january :0
The boat getting stuck is mentioned here.
Sony just didn't make enough of the godamn things.
