I got two sony TVs that have been working for almost a decade and a PS2 which has been working for over 3 years.
I think some people just dont take care of thier products properly, and abuse it thinking that becasue its a Sony nothing will go wrong.

3 years ago? They've been established in the business for far longer than that.

I've had my 28" flat screen for 3+ years and it's never gone wrong once.
Same goes for my Sony VCR, my Sony In-car equipment and the 3PS2/1PSTwo's I have had.
It's a load of balls all this 'Sony are Evil' talk. They do make high quality gear and I'd always consider their products over a competitors unless there was a valid reason not to.

Why anyone would want a PS2, slim or otherwise is quite beyond me. Or any other Sony equipment for that matter. Sure they have name value, but are commited to using the cheapest components known to man. Hence why they go wrong so often.
