Anyone know how I can solve this? I downloaded it using the link phi11ip gave yesterday, but once it's downloaded and set up, it won't connect so that I can download new stuff.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers

So you've just about reduced it to Windows 2000 then?

As good as Limewire Pro is, there are a hell of a lot of corrupted audio files on the network. I prefer to use BitTorrent, but still rely on Limewire Pro for individual MP3s and dirty videos.

It isn't used for anything other than gaming my PC. No printers, scanners, additional software etc etc. Microsoft Word and the Internet aside.

The registry has been gutted, the cab files have been cleaned, Program Files has been cleaned out (NetMeeting etc cleared through Dos in Safe Mode). It has been stripped to the bone, everything fancy turned off.

10 Services?

I've got 16 but quite a few of them are for networking and printer sharing etc.

My Windows XP has been gutted for gaming, only have around 9 or 10 Services running. The firewall etc has been turned off.

I was under the impression that all version had been taken offline?! Obviously not if a couple can get on. I tried 2 different versions and both wouldn't connect so I went for WinMx instead which is uninstalled after getting what I wanted.

The might of the torrent beats all.

Have fun with the spyware, by the way. Limewire (the non-pro version anyway) isn't as clean as you think.
