What you need to do is set your router to forward the ports that your client connects through.
search for "bittorrent port forwarding" on google and you should find loads of stuff.

Do you connect through a router?
They usually run at around 5kb/s.... There's something seriously wrong I'm guessing, but i'm such a lazy ass. Can't be bothered working out what's wrong/fixing it.

That window had been closed and opened a couple of times.
My average speed was around 30kb/s. It was dire.
It took more like 15-20 hours.
I once had a 700mb torrent go at 118kb/s steady the whole time though :' }
