However Ubisoft recently came out with some Dukes of Hazard guff and that dodgy boxing licence they have (Rocky right?) so they were starting to branch into EA territory (Ie shallow crap based on licences).

Yes.
EA publish some crap games, but they also publish amazing games at the same time.
Buying into companies which may go bust is a good thing, as it saves them.
Ubisoft aren'treally in that pickle anymore, but about 18 months ago they were.
