Righty. I have, yet again, come to the conclusion that my mouse is seriously affecting my ability to go more than 2 footsteps without getting raped with lead.

I have the following mice in mind:

http://uk.special.reserve.co.uk/q_GG4933_optical_mice__raze.html - £19.99 and famous back in the day.

http://uk.special.reserve.co.uk/q_GG6188_optical_mice__raze.html - Looks good, not sure though

http://uk.special.reserve.co.uk/q_GG2536_optical_mice__raze.html - This appears to be new-ish. looks nice and looks better than the other 2. But...Hmmmmm.

So, I know the top one at £20 was highly acclaimed back in the day, but does it still match up?

so if you could, please recommend me the best one. If the £20 one is going to be just as good as the £40 one, please be honest and save me the dollah.

Cheers!

I picked up the MX1000 in the end, mainly because I want super-accuracy and don't want to be cabled up.

Just got to find somewhere for the bloody charging station now!

I use an everglide mouse mat with my MX1000, but only because i picked it up for £7.50 2nd hand. It will track accurately on practically anything, i just done it on my jumper there.

The MX1000 is superb, got one the other week and haven't regretted spending over £50 on it. It's worth every penny.

It fits like a glove, it has to be one of the most comfortable mouse's I've ever owned, and it's stupendously accurate too. You can use it over almost any surface and it'll not change the effectiveness or movement of the cursor on screen.

Perfect tool if your big on gaming, it's actually helped me get past a bit on Prince of Persia I was stuck on for weeks.

Ta guys.

I've reshuffled my list o' three:

Razer Viper
MX510
MX1000 (is it really that good?)

Hmmm, for the cost of an MX1000, I could slap a few bob on top and grab a Viper & mouse mat. Would I need a mouse mat for the MX1000, what with it being all spangly-laser-tracky good?
