I personally own an N64, Saturn and Dreamcast (among other older ones) and i was thinking why did i chose them and not a PSx or PS2. Well i bought my N64 cos of the hype surrounding the mario game really, i played it in a few stores, and really didnt like the stick on the controler (it was to tall i thought) and i didnt get a good play of mario either. then my mate bought one and i played goldeneye and lylat wars, WOW i was hooked, i saved up some dosh and bought it, after playing them 2 games properly, i fell in love with the machine. i got to play mario later and loved it even more. But without my mates having one and me getting to play it in a better enviroment (no queue of screaming kids watching my every mistake and tuting) id never have seriously got one i dont think.

I got my Dreamcast cos ive always loved sega, and being able to play HOTD2 Sonic Adventure and loads of other games, i just needed to have it, also the grpahics did help me decide, but im so glad i bought both them consoles. i enjoy playing on my mates PSx's but i doubt id buy one for the games, sure there are a few good ones out there (MGS comes to mind instantly) but theres a feeling about it that i just dont really want one. Althought i would love to be able to play Tekken 3 and Time Crisis when ever i liked.

I only got my saturn a few months back because id always wanted one but my rents had stopped me from getting one. So i got one for £30 after having read sega/saturn power from issue 40 all the way to issue 16 of saturn mag (it was sega power but then become saturn power) and if i hadnt had read all their reviews when i didnt have a saturn id never have really considered buying one. maybe thats the reason i havent bought a PSX i dont know.

Well thats my story, why did you buy your console? Especially PSX owners, seeing as i aint really interested in buying one, im wondering what made you buy one?

I got the N64 for Christmas 2000, because my MegaDrive was getting old. It was a choice between N64 and Playstation - and the N64 had such great multiplayers (Mario Kart, Goldeneye, F-Zero) that I couldn't resist.

The main reason I bought my Dreamcast was because I wanted to compare its weight to my computer monitor, a 6 pack of Carling and an ancient Barometer passed down by my great aunt Ethel.

I don't understand all this 'palava' about playing games...

...Pah!

I personally own a N64 because living in a house with a brother and sister plus a dad that plays stratagey game sand surfs the net it is useful to have multiple computers and consoles for when there is nothing else to do. But the best thing about the N64 is the Wrestling games, okay Perfect Dark is great and so is Goldeneye but I get better FPS's on my high performance games PC (the mouse is the key). I find the Wrestling games have massive lastability I never get tired of kicking Stone Cold Steve Austin a hundred shades of black and blue (even before he turned Evil, well he was always beating up on Steph and she is just too beautiful to be beaten up!)

I think they're more interested in releasing the specs than the consoles...

Definitly, i noticed this too. Shows that nintedno are concentrating on thier machine as a games console and not a flippin home entertainment center.
