Also, I'm using a laptop for most of my daily computer needs, and, like all others, it has a standby function. Or it did. Until I disabled it. It's like this, one day I was happily standing it by, when it all went b*****-up. Everything crashed etc. blue screens. So I turned it off and the next time it was turned on, a little dialog greeted me, asking me if I'd like to prevent my laptop from going on standby in the future. I pressed enter, without thinking, and unwittingly told it, "yes". So now, I have to cold boot it ALL THE TIME...! Again, any help muchly appreciated. And don't rip the p**s [i]too[/] much.
By the way, im on windows 98 SE with an IBM T20 Thinkpad if that helps
As for your Standby issue, sorry I can't help on that, I'm not all that good with the technical side of Laptops.
