Nintendo have one of the biggest reputations for delays. Nearly every single piece of hardware or hugely anticipated games are delayed!
Its one of the most top ten of the most things that I find annoying!
JAPAN:
The Japanese will now be receiving their Gamecubes on the 14th of September.
USA:
The Americans will be seeing their GC's around mid-december from October.
US (UK, Europe):
And we are still Spring 2002 (doh!)!!
And its because Shigsy's game won't be ready in time for the release date originally!

Yes they did, but not to everyone by a long way. Only a relatively small number of people got compensation, most didn't. Perhaps it was more of a 'publicity goodwill gesture'.

I'm not sure but didn't Nintendo give out compensation to those who claimed that it was unfair that they paid more for the console than what people paid the next week?
