I have been at uni now for about 2 months and i'm just not working as hard as i should be. Now i'm wondering whether uni is for me.

Is it worth quitting and starting again after a gap year.

Anyone been in the same situation?

But how hard SHOULD you be working? I do practically no work and Im way ahead of most of the people on my course. One guy even said I was a source of inspiration to him. lol.

Im my course in the first year there is an essential Electrical Science module which you NEED for pretty much all of the other modules on the course. Its a foundation for all the other modules. i wouldnt reccommend just passing it. It doesnt matter if you dont get top marks, but as long as you understand it all Id say its fine.

Why arent you working? Is it that you dont like the course? or you dont have time? or are you just lazy? It happens to all of us. lol.

If it's any consolation, I'm leaving my 4 year course after 3 years of study. Just about to write another topic to get it off my chest...

Gap year won't make any difference.

It gets harder in 2nd year, yep.

don't sweat the first year mate, it's basically just to weed out all the idiots who are wasting everyone's time or to give people a chance to switch course and stuff. the 2nd and 3rd years are what matters so my advice would be do do as little as you need to pass the first year, but save all your real effort for years 2 and 3, you won't learn anything very useful in the 1st year anyways.

Unless you're just not enjoying uni or you're not working cos you can't be bothered, in which case my advice would be to leave and free up a space for someone who'll make use of it.

either way, hope it works out for you :)

The coolest ISP ever!
In my opinion, the ISP is the best I have ever used. They guarantee 'first time connection - everytime', which they have never let me down on.
Thanks!
Thank you for dealing with this so promptly it's nice having a service provider that offers a good service, rare to find nowadays.
