I have been at uni now for about 2 months and i'm just not working as hard as i should be. Now i'm wondering whether uni is for me.

Is it worth quitting and starting again after a gap year.

Anyone been in the same situation?

I dunno. It would just make sense that if you took a year out, that'd be an extra year needed for your course.

Never been to Uni so I'm most probably wrong.

Never been to Uni myself, so don't have the experience. But I'd probably suggest that you stick it out.

If you're intent on returning after a 'Gap year', you may as well just get it over with now. A Gap Year probably won't make much difference other than setting you back and keeping you in education for another year - unless that's what you want!

I'm sure you'll come to your own decision. Only you know 100% of the details of the situation.

Yeah, if I were you I'd quit.

Two months is probably far too short a time to decide if you want to stick with it or not. Lots of people just cruise first year with no ill effects, I was included. I'd wait until you have at least been through the first set of exams, to see if you can handle the pressure, if it does your head in, find out if you still like the course etc.

Everyone feels like quitting in their first year. Stick at it this year and if you still dont like it change course next year. Im in my 2nd year and changed course a couple of weeks ago, did little work first year but Ive stepped it up quite a bit this year.

I've only actually started working hard now and i'm in my third year. First year just aint worth the effort. I just done as little as possible at the last minute.
