So I’m new to all this inside of the pc stuff so i have been browsing about with some help from friends and i came up with this: (remember i am new and i don’t have that much money) but this little bundle is looking real good at the moment..

(just wanted a cheap monitor to tie me over till i can afford a good one (about 2009 :P))

(cheapest keyboard and mouse on the website, though they'd also just tie me over)

I am helping. I was just telling you that Celerons aren't good and that 256mb isn't a lot of RAM.

On a budget, try switching to a AMD athlon budget, as they're more powerful than a Celeron, and try and push for 512MB of decent RAM (whcih you can get for about £60 if you look around, especially at special offers.) Hint Hint... look at www.overclockers.co.uk The parts are priced very competetively, and they have Geil Value (good) ram on offer right now til the coming thurs...

If you want to play games, Athlon 64s are the way to go.

Why?

Better floating point unit, does more work per cycle. Shorter pipeline too, so when the branch prediction goes wrong, there is less to flush. Oh.. in simple terms. They give better performance in games. More frames per second. Cheaper too, and cooler running.

I suggest this lot instead of what you have down as a PC Kit. £14 more, but a hell of a lot better performance, especially for games. Faster more powerful processor, which can be overclocked with the fantastic motherboard. Twice as much RAM, and 40 GB extra hard disk space.
