...right?

My thinking is, if I drink then all the nasty crap that makes my throat hurt will die.

At my disposal I have:

Lager (Carling)
Malibu
Whiskey (scottish, not Jack sadly)

I might mix some cough syrup in there too.

What an eclectic mixture.

I have strepsils.

They make my tongue a funny colour and dont do a whole lot.

Try drinking some acid. Should kill any bacteria that's there.

I think I'll sup a few beers first, to sort of "ease it up" and then start with the shots.

I didnt know about the "e" in whiskey making it Irish, just thought that was how it was spelt!

I'll probably gargle soem mouthwash before I try and sleep too, thats got a pretty high alcohol content so it should numb it some.

Gargle it. TCP usually does the trick. Or get some anti-bacterial lozenges that ya can suck on.

I think just swallowing it will have a pretty minor effect.

Whiskey isn't Scottish. Whisky is. The e makes it Irish.

Whatever it is, it remains your best bet. The beer just isn't strong enough to do any good.
