Apparently Maven caught Gene Snitsky with a bad hit at Survivor Series, causing the very visible cut we all saw. Apparently the damage was worse than that though and Snitsky is being treated for a suspected broken orbital bone, an injury which would put him on the shelf for months.
Note to Maven, please do Batista next.
HOWEVER. Neither wrestler has the great in-ring capabilities of Brock Lesnar. Neither wrestler has the...look, that Lesnar had. And neither have the character he had either. Now, I know that technically Lesnar didn't have a character at all when we begun, but that was what made him so interesting!
They're trying to do a similar thing with Heidenreich and Heyman, but it's just not the same. Snitsky is more effective I feel, but still fails to have the aura (sp?) that Lesnar had.
So, what is to be learnt from all this?
Well basically...Brock Lesnar ruled. :D
sure, he's brilliantly put together, but as far as work and mic skills and character go, i just don't see him as champ material.. especially not THIS soon.
i feel WWE are pushing the new big guys as fast as possible to get as much out of them as they can incase they decide to jump ship or switch careers (defined in Websters dictionary 5th edition as "pulling a Lesnar".. which, in itself, sounds suspect :) ) and the rumour of their new recruitment criteria has any truth then sadly i see this trend continuing :(

I don't get where they are going though, unless HHH is heading for a face turn, as it's the heels Edge, Batista and to a lesser extent Snitsky who are being made to look like the real threats to Trips' strap.
He spent most of the time lying on the ground whilst Benoit and Jericho did it all for him. :D
Maven was quite impressive in his match against the game! Hopefully he will get his push. But somehow i doubt it!
