Smoke reminds me of smoking - it nearly killed me trying to quit. Can I just hire a dry-ice machine and use that as my entry?

Any limit on the number of entries?

yeah. thats all i can think of. I'll probably end up doing something about gnomes.

I've started something. Seems more... 'normal'. Could end up different, but who knows?

Nothing to do with the title yet, but if not I'll just post it as a none-SSC and then do another one. Yay.

Poems are not usually entered in the short story competition. I know Grix slipped one in as the winner last time but it is unusual.

'Smoke' is the key 'inspirational' word choosen for this competition and the story can be specifically about this or as loosely connected with it as you wish. Short or shortish stories are entered. They tend not to be too long otherwise the judge gets fed up of reading :)

So it doesnt have to be about Sam the Smoke Wisp who gets parted from his father, who in turn travels the earth trying to find him?

I call it Finding Smokey
